You can tell if the clutch is burned out and slipping by putting it in 4th or 5th gear,(while stopped), applying the rear brake hard, revving the engine and dumping the clutch. If the engine dies instantly, your clutch is good, If it continues to run with the clutch engaged and the rear brake on, then the clutch is slipping and is burned out. It can't be a slipping drive belt, so I don't know what else it could be. Anyone?
